Hundreds of people from around the world converged on St. Petersburg, Florida on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 to attend Jabil’s 2012 Supplier Conference.

Attendees enjoyed dynamic presentations by key Jabil executives and engaged with Jabil experts in informal forums around topics such as Lean Six Sigma, Advanced Planning and Healthcare & Life Sciences.

Joe McBeth, VP Global Supply Chain, kicked off the Healthcare & Life Sciences forum with a thought-provoking presentation demonstrating Jabil’s leadership role in Healthcare & Life Sciences manufacturing. Design plays a central role at Jabil and Joe’s statement resonated with the audience. “Jabil is leading Healthcare with design because our customers demand it.”

Throughout the event, the central theme reinforced Jabil’s leadership in intelligent supply chain design. Each forum hosted examples of how Jabil finds hidden efficiencies, and builds flexibility and resilience into the system.

Conversations Around Supply Chain Design

As the afternoon progressed, the group converged for an intense, interactive experience. This year’s theme was “Managing Complexity & Driving Competitiveness.” From logistics and regional nuances in conducting business to integrating supply chain capabilities regardless of location or organization structure, suppliers learned that no other company is better suited to intelligently design supply chain networks that boost time-to-market and time-to-profitability.

Judging by the enthusiasm in each forum, the interactive demonstrations and conversations sparked a synergy essential to understanding and appreciating each other’s opportunities and challenges. Mission accomplished.
